How do I get on the waitlist? (This is long, but important! Please take the time to read carefully.)

When joining a puppy waitlist, please keep in mind that only Mother Nature knows the number, genders, and colors of the puppies that will be born. If you want to reserve a puppy, you do need to be flexible.

A deposit will secure your place on the waitlist, in the order in which puppies will be placed with their new families. We place puppies at 6 weeks of age, starting from the top of the list. Don’t worry at all if your name is lower on the list. There are no second-rate puppies at Inland Doodles! Each puppy is special and we will only place a puppy with a family that is a good fit. However, those lower on the list do need to be more flexible about what gender of puppy they prefer, and what possible colors or coats they are open to. All our puppies are sold as pets and come with a spay or neuter contract, so the gender/color of your new baby is not as important as personality of the match!

We know our puppies very well and highly recommend that you pick your puppy based on what personality will be a good fit, rather than gender or color. We can guide you as much as needed when it comes to picking the right puppy. We are even happy to do all the decision making if that is your preference. We’ll say it again: a successful placement is based more on personality and less on gender and color.

Can I get my deposit back if I change my mind?

The only reason that we will refund deposits is if we do not have enough puppies born to cover those on our wait list. For example, if we took six deposits on a litter but only four puppies were born, the last two people on the list would have the option to have their deposits returned. Insufficient numbers of puppies is the ONLY instance in which we return deposits.

If you choose not to get a puppy because there is not one available of the color or gender your prefer, you may transfer your deposit to a different litter, to the next available spot on that litter’s waitlist.

If you still want a puppy but need to postpone due to life circumstances, you may transfer your deposit to any future waitlist.

If you are lower on the waitlist and not enough puppies are born, you may transfer to any other waitlist or you may have your deposit returned.

We understand that sometimes you simply change your mind or are not able to follow through with getting one of our puppies as planned. In this case, you will forfeit your deposit. This is a very rare occurrence, but it is something to be aware of when you make your deposit.

I don’t live locally (near Spokane, WA), how will I choose my puppy?

Don’t worry! We are experienced with placing puppies at a distance and can help you! Often, folks have a strong sense of which puppy they want, and other times they are much more flexible. Whichever you are, we can work with you! We can send videos, descriptions, FaceTime and extra photos. We will make long distance placement a breeze for you!

I’m ready to commit! What’s the next step?

First, yay! This is a big deal, celebrate! Second, fill out our placement questionnaire, and we will get back to you promptly (usually within one day). We do need to approve you before you make a deposit. Once you are approved, you will make your deposit using the PayPal button below to reserve your place on the waitlist. Our payments are processed via PayPal, but you don’t need an account, any debit/credit card will work.

I want to wait and see what puppies are born before I make a deposit, is that ok?

Yes, though we do recommend that you join our email list so that you get the birth announcement! And while you wait, please feel free to reach out and connect via email or text! We are happy to take your questions and help you make the best choice for you and your family.
